I became
interested in photography initially as a way of
recording my artistic work while at high school.
I continued with darkroom skills while training
to be a teacher. But my photography really
took off when I started travelling.
With a young family, photography has also become
a way to document the growth and development of
two little girls. This has allowed me to
experiment with and understand when and how to
capture children through all their different
moods.
My style - simple and uncomplicated, clean and fun on the eye.
I love to capture the shapes and colours in the world around us. I look for the details and try to find something special in the ordinary, in the everyday.
The best portraits capture more than just the image of the person. They capture the 'moments of life' - the spirit, energy and fun of the individual or the interaction of family members.
